Extended Closing Date for Applications
Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board seeks to encourage, promote and acknowledge excellence by recognising learners and staff for either group or individual achievements or projects.
On 14th March 2019, Mayo, Sligo and Leitrim Education and Training Board will host our third Annual Awards Ceremony. Applications are invited for projects/initiatives completed by staff and/or Students, Learners and Trainees under the following categories.
|Contribution to Local Community/Society||This award will be presented for the best initiative promoting the positive contribution to local community/society. The submission requires demonstrated evidence of initiative and the positive impact on the local community/society.|
|Innovation and Creativity||This award will be presented to the project that best illustrates innovation and creativity. Projects in this category may be of any nature. Submissions will require demonstrated evidence of the innovation and creativity process and how this process impacted the final creation.|
|Arts, Culture and Heritage||This award will be presented for the best initiative promoting Arts, Culture and Heritage.|
|Health and Wellbeing||This award will be presented for the best initiative promoting the positive benefits of a healthy lifestyle and/or wellbeing with demonstrated evidence of the positive outcomes, following the implementation of the initiative.|
|Entrepreneurship||This award will be presented to the project that best illustrates ideas, entrepreneurial aptitude and ability to overcome obstacles. Projects in this category may be of any nature to include social, commercial, scientific, artistic, technical or other.|
|This award will be presented for the best initiative using Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The submission will require evidence of the positive impact of this initiative.|
Please note any projects involving music and performance will only be considered for an award where participants have composed and written the music score and/or script.

Closing date for receipt of submissions is extended until the 15th February 2019
Finalists will be informed on 1st March 2019
Annual Awards Ceremony – 14th March 2019
· Four finalists in each category will be selected and invited to attend the ceremony
· Projects which have received prior national recognition will not be considered for selection
· Please note projects may only be entered in one category
